Pastoral Care
As a parish church we seek to provide pastoral and bereavement care to those in our community and to our members.
Our Minister is available to conduct funerals for those living within the parish, and this is usually arranged through the funeral director. Each year we organise a Thanksgiving and Remembrance service before Advent, in which we take time to remember and give thanks for those who have died during the year, or before. An invitation is given to those whom we have come in contact with during the year through conducting funerals.
Our Elders visit members twice during the year and they are invaluable in the support they give and in providing a network across the community to help us know when someone is unwell.
However, if you are aware of someone in need of pastoral help, please contact our deacon Miss Fiona Blair on 07368 696550 or [email protected]
We also have a Pastoral Care Group, who visit elderly, housebound members in our parish. Details of who is on the group can be found below.
Pastoral Care
As a parish church we endeavour to provide pastoral care to both our members and to people within the parish, which has grown and keeps on growing. To help with this, we have a Pastoral Care Team. Between us we will be hoping to visit folks in hospital and at home, to provide a listening ear and to demonstrate the love of God.
It is not always easy to get to visit everyone we would like to, and indeed sometimes we struggle to hear when someone is ill. This team is designed to help share the work of pastoral care and is in addition to the amazing ministry of our elders, who visit their districts twice a year.
