Knitting Patterns for Babies in Malawi
We send consignments of new hand-knitted baby clothes out to Malawi for babies born into poverty. Shipments are sent twice a year and we collect knitting during the months of March and September.
In the past we have accepted Fish and Chips knitting (ie all in one jumpers) We have been advised that these tops are not wanted as they really don't fit the babies very well. Squares and small blankets can be handed in but as the need is for larger blankets, they should have no decorative edging so that they can be sewn together to make blankets big enough for the family to snuggle under at night.
